Consorsbank has raised the interest rate for its call deposit account.
Consorsbank is now paying more interest on overnight money. The direct bank has significantly increased the interest rate for new customers from the previous 2.10 percent to 2.40 percent. The interest rate applies for a period of six months and for an amount of up to one million euros. Interest of 0.60 percent is charged on amounts in excess of this. This rate also applies to existing customers. Interest is credited quarterly on March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31 and is credited to the call deposit account.
Consorsbank belongs to the major bank BNP Paribas and is subject to the French deposit guarantee fund Fonds de Garantie des Dépôts et de Résolution (FGDR), which protects deposits of 100,000 euros per customer in accordance with EU directives. In addition, Consorsbank is a voluntary member of the German Deposit Protection Fund of the Association of German Banks (BdB) and thus also protects deposits in excess of 100,000 euros.
